Quality Assessment Process

The quality assessment process is a systematic approach to measuring the level of quality in a project. According to the Project Management Institute, the process involves a series of steps that include assessing quality, preparing an assessment plan, conducting interviews, audits, and inspections, and writing an assessment report. The goal of this process is to identify areas of low performance and improve them before the project’s close.

The assessment process should be rigorous and formal to ensure that all areas of low performance are identified and addressed. The lack of formal rigor in assessing quality can directly impact the level of success any subsequent improvements may have.

In addition to the above, there are other qualities of good assessment practices that should be considered. These include gathering information from multiple and diverse sources, developing a deep understanding of what students know, understand, and can do with their knowledge as a result of their educational experiences, and using assessment results to improve subsequent learning.
