Junk Food Branding

Junk food branding is a broad topic that encompasses various aspects. It can refer to the visual identity, marketing strategies, and packaging designs of junk food products. For instance, Junk Food Clothing is a brand that specializes in vintage-inspired apparel featuring original licensed graphics by Disney, Star Wars, Budweiser, The Beatles, Grateful Dead, AC/DC, NFL and NBA teams, and many more. They use high-quality fabrics, signature washes, and unique vintage details on all their apparel.

On the other hand, junk food branding can also refer to the advertising and promotional efforts of junk food companies. A study conducted by Deakin University found that businesses are trying to lure young social media users into becoming unofficial ambassadors through “challenges” involving their products. This highlights the influence of social media platforms like TikTok in shaping junk food branding strategies.

It’s worth noting that there are also healthy snack brands that market themselves as junk food to appeal to Gen Z consumers who often prefer snacks over meals. These brands offer seemingly unhealthy but healthy snacks that are trending with Gen Z.
